Cid Bolduc was born and raised in Maine. She attended Boston University , The Art Institute of Boston and The Museum School of The Museum of Fine Arts In Boston.
In the early 80′s, Bolduc was accepted into a summer painting program at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. At the summers end, she became a year-round resident.
Over the last 35 years, as an active member of the Provincetown art community, Bolduc has had the opportunity to work, study and play with many talented acclaimed artists. Professionally, Cid has worked at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, Castle Hill School for the Arts in Truro, The Fine Arts Work Center and been director of several local Galleries. She has volunteered her time teaching workshops at the aforementioned organizations as well as at all of the Outer Cape Public Schools.
While acclaimed for her Award winning Encaustic works, Cid also works in Egg Tempera and recently has ventured back into Photography. As always, her vibrant, modern abstracts evidence the influences of Joan Mitchell, Hans Hoffman & Lillian Orlowsky. Her work can be found in numerous juried shows throughout the country, as well as being included in some permanent collections (including PAAM). These days, Cid divides her time between Cape Cod and Gulfport, Fl. along with Francesca and 2 Jacks.
